      Brian,

This is incorrect. This ignition switch has been sold to many thousands of customers with functioning windshield wipers.
If your wipers do not work then your wiring is wrong. We should know because we have the switch on our cars.

If you mean that the windshield wipers are slow then that is also not the switch but in fact the bad wiring from the factory.

      Thanks

Q & A

Ask a question
What do the connectors on the back look like. Is it the original layout or the new one with no center points. I’ve been trying to find the original one with no luck. In need those center two connections for it to work. Otherwise I’d be piling 4 wires onto one spot with the new switch. Johnathan Flynn asked on February 22, 2023

Hello,
No the originals are impossible to get. That said you at no point should need to stack 4 wires onto 1 pin. You do have to stack 2 wires onto 1 pin with this style unit, but we've never found a need to have more. Do you have some other additions to the car that are not factory? It might help if you called this question in because something about your setup sounds incorrect. These units that are available work and work great in both the 124 or 850.

I received the replacement switch in a timely fashion. Yes, one pole was used for two connections and the two pole connectors was provided. What about the smaller gauge, two-wire "Pigtail" connector the old switch has that the replacement does not?

Frank,

You don't use those because those are for the door buzzer.

Thanks
