Q & A

Ask a question
This appears to be the same as my current water pump. Can I have a few more pictures? 1986 Alfa Spider Veloce 2.0 liter, Bosch fuel injection. US model. Bill Zandi asked on September 9, 2024

Hello,

We can confirm this is the correct water pump for your car.

Thanks

The single stud that holds the alternator bracket is too long and does not have the same threads as the original. What thread size is the stud and how do you install it? Thanks! DAVID DANIELS asked on April 15, 2024

David,

The few times I've personally done this, I simply place the end of the stud in the hole and start turning.
The stud is slightly blocked at first by the pulley but after 1 turn it drops below and is smooth sailing.

Thanks
Matt @ Vick Autosports

There was a single stud in the box with the water pump. What is that for? TIA Robert Brooks asked on December 8, 2023

Hello,

That is for a bracket. You'll see the threaded hole in the bit under the pulley.

Thanks

Given the Tach Type selection, I have a '79 SPICA 2000 Spider, which was the first year for an electronic tachometer. If I'm understanding the drop down correctly, this pump will not work properly for a '79 injected Spider with an electronic tach, correct? Austin Dahlke asked on August 4, 2023

No, either selection will work fine. We are simply getting some data on the numbers of cars out there.

Thanks
