No camshaft should EVER require you mill the box. You should just adjust your shims to meet the gap of your cams. Should your gap be too large, as in shims don't go that large, then milling is still NEVER the answer. The correct answer is one of 2 options.
1: Add a lash cap on top of the valve stem to raise the shim bucket. Our lash caps are 1.5mm thick and about 99.9% of the time that is enough to get the shim within a made range.
2: If you're doing a full head build right now then simply DON'T cut the valves as far down as Fiat did. Leave an extra 1mm or so on the stem so that it replaces the base circle reduction.

We repeat NEVER mill the box. Milling the box and that leads to milling the head (for compression which again DON'T do) and then you have to run the wrong belt or pulley. This leads to more issues down the road because you might forget and then blame a vendor for sending you the wrong belt or pulley, but how are vendors supposed to know these have been shaved down. Or again all this but now you sold the cars and the new owner doesn't know so they get stuck trying to figure out what to use.

Lash caps are CHEAP just use lash caps.

Hello,

There isn't a "standard European cam". Really all the X1/9s regardless of where they started their lives pretty much all had the same cams.
Also if you have a different cam than the common cam then you would have to tell us some specs to base this info off of. Since we aren't in Europe we would have never received such a thing.
